I have vivid memories of feeling the imposter syndrome during my years working in advertising … but I can safely say it felt much worse in my entrepreneurial journey.Whether I was writing business plans for independent cafés, crafting vegan beauty products, or planning slow-travel experiences for nomads (yes, I had multiple lives), I often found myself thinking…
Do I know enough to teach? Am I healed enough to guide? Who am I to do this?
Sounds familiar? If you've been feeling behind, doubting yourself at times, just know we all go through it. I feel it too.
I don’t think this journey is about not feeling these roacblocks: it’s a journey about fully feeling these fears, accepting them, and taking action towards what you want in spite of feeling the fear. Trusting yourself.
+ How could this article (song, painting) look or feel more true to who I am?
+ How could the experience I already have be helpful to those I want to help?
+ What do I already know that can serve me right now?
We've been conditioned to feel inadequate and doubt ourselves. More knowledge and a new certificate won't change that. Learning to trust yourself will. Entrepreneurship is a journey about self-acceptance, self-trust, and self-love. Rewriting stories that made us doubt our identity and our gifts.
In this podcast episode, I'm sharing guidance on navigating imposter syndrome, comparison and jealousy. I'd love to hear from you about your key takeaways and what you'll be brave enough to try.
Guidance for you
Jealousy is often a mirror. It reflects back to us what we desire. It's a beautiful opportunity to learn more about what you truly want.
+ What is about them that makes you feel jealous? What triggers you?
+ Where exactly are you comparing yourself?
+ What is it telling you about yourself and what you want?
