How to Step into the Role of a Leader as an Artist or Creative Entrepreneur

Any entrepreneur looks up to certain leaders. We gravitate towards leadership yet, we all struggle in putting our finger on what it means to be a good leader. We tend to emulate rather than bringing our own flavour to leadership. While there are certain qualities that may be easier to identify, there is a skill that a lot of us tend to forget: being the kind of leader that is aligned with the kind of person we are. Showing up as a leader means showing up as who you are, not as someone else. Only by being yourself, can you truly lead.

Journaling prompts

  • What is your own definition of being a good leader?

  • Have you developed your own approach to helping people?

  • Do you like to “go big” or “play it safe”?
